Information for International Volunteers in German hosting program BFD.

Since 2011 there is a new national program for volunteers, the BFD (BundesFreiwilligenDienst – Federal Voluntary Service) which allows international participants to apply. 

The volunteers have to cover their travel costs, but board and lodging are free. 

The volunteer will get a monthly pocket money of and will be insured. 

A basic knowledge of the German language is usually necessary to be able to communicate and a driving license often required in our projects.

So if you are interested in this program please fill the attached form and send following documents by Email:

• Application form,
• Motivation letter,
• CV,
• Copy of your last school reports, university or vocational training certificates,
• Certificate of your German proficiency - ideally by a Goethe-Institute in your home country,
• Passport photo,
• Copy of your driving license.
